Not assumptions, #CONSENSUS
The BREATH project is a European initiative working to strengthen the Health Innovation talent ecosystem by fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and public administration while supporting the career development of early-career researchers.
As part of this work, BREATH aims to better understand the skills and competencies required across key professional roles within the health innovation ecosystem. To achieve this, we are launching a Delphi study (Link to the inscription site) bringing together experts from across sectors to build consensus on the competencies needed today and those that will become essential in the near future.
Shall we meet?
To introduce the study and explain its methodology, we will host an informational webinar on 27 March (Friday), 11:00 CET.
During the session, we will present the objectives of the study, explain how the Delphi process works, and outline how participants can contribute. Attendance at the webinar is not mandatory to join the Delphi panel, but it is highly recommended as it provides useful context and an opportunity for discussion with other experts. A recording will also be shared afterwards.
Why this study?
We recently conducted a survey among early-career researchers to better understand their career experiences, expectations, and challenges during and after the PhD phase.
The results highlighted the diversity of career pathways in Health Innovation and the need for a clearer understanding of the competencies required across sectors.
The next step is to move from insights to expert consensus.
We are inviting experts from academia, industry, and public administration who hold leadership or coordinating roles within the Health Innovation ecosystem.
Participants will contribute to identifying and prioritising competencies required for five key function profiles:
- Researcher
- Business development / innovation manager
- Education / communication specialist
- Regulatory / policy officer
- Translational / clinical scientist / medical affairs professional
