CEBR invites industry experts to share insights in BRIGHTskills focus groups shaping the future of workforce training in Europe’s health industry.
Aligning Skills with Real Industry Needs
The Council of European BioRegions (CEBR), partner in the EU-funded BRIGHTskills project, is supporting a series of online pan-European focus groups designed to explore and validate current and emerging workforce skills gaps in the life sciences and digital health sectors.
Employers, HR professionals, operational leaders and industry experts are encouraged to participate and provide their expert insights. The discussions will directly inform the European Skills Strategy for the Health Industry and help guide the development of future training programmes aligned with real business needs.
Why Participation Matters
Across Europe, companies face increasing difficulty finding professionals with the right combination of technical, regulatory, digital and transversal skills. Rapid technological change, digital transformation and new regulatory requirements are reshaping the workforce.
The focus groups give participants the chance to:
- Validate preliminary research findings on workforce skills gaps
- Contribute practical evidence from national and regional industry contexts
- Help shape training programmes and upskilling initiatives that meet real sector needs
- Support sector competitiveness, innovation and workforce resilience
Key Focus Areas
Each 1-hour online session will explore skills gaps in the following thematic areas:
- Digital transformation and AI
- Data literacy and analytics
- Regulatory and quality excellence
- Environmental sustainability and green practices
- Leadership and transversal workplace skills
Sessions are interactive and limited to a small group to ensure focused discussion and high-quality input.

We are looking for participants with first-hand experience of workforce challenges, including:
- HR managers and hiring managers
- Senior operational leaders and manufacturers
- Professionals impacted by digital, regulatory or sustainability transitions
- Experts in workforce development and training for life sciences and digital health
